To start we set off to Wigry – a little village with a scenic view over the Wigry Lake and the Post Camedulian Monastery, visited in 1999 by Pope John II. The monastery is open for sightseeing and if you wish there is a time for short individual sightseeing planned.

Before you sit comfortably in your kayaks, there is a short briefing where the safety rules, kayaking techniques and organizational matters will be discussed.

Kayaking route: Wigry – Buda Ruska (14 km)
The trip starts on the Wigry Lake, which belongs to Wigierski National Park region, next there is the small Postaw Lake and finally, among high reeds we reach the beginning of meandering Czarna Hańcza river. Along the river banks we will see plenty of small villages sitting neatly on its sides. There is quite a lot of river arms and small islands overgrown with grass in this part of Czarna Hańcza. In the evening, after you get to your accommodation place and wishing to relax there is a option to use sauna.
Accommodation - summer houses or campsite; toilets, outdoor shower.

2nd day
Kayaking route: Buda Ruska – Frącki (16 km)
Here, the wide river is surrounded by meadows and fields has slow current and many little islands overgrown with reeds. Next comes a very interesting part of the river with high, steep and wooded banks. As you enter this part the current is quite rapid however it is still very safe and soon it changes back into a slower one. The river in this part has many arms, gentle turns, meanders and reeded backwaters, the surrounding is simply majestic!
Today’s stop is in village Frącki where, not far from your accommodation place, you will find a small shop and a waterside hostel with a bar. For the evening, there is a bonfire planned.
Accommodation – guest rooms; bathrooms or campsite.

3rd day
Kayaking route: Frącki – Mikaszówka (23 km)
The river starts here with a slow current, going mainly through the meadows of the Augustow Primeval Forest, leaving behind villages and their buildings. There is no obstacles on the way as the river goes through a corridor of high grass and reeds. Next, the rivers flows into the very middle of the Augustow Primeval Forest and meanders through marshed valley with wooded banks. The current in this part of the river is faster what enables easier kayaking but is still very safe. The river winds, there are some fallen trees however it is easy to swim them by. At the end of this leg, the Augustowski Canal starts and you will have a chance to see and go through the first two locks which are manually handled. It is definitely a huge attraction! This part of the trip finishes in Mikaszówka. A place worth visiting here is a wooden church, build in a sylvan style.
Accommodation – guest rooms with bathrooms or campsite; in the village – shop and a snack bar.

4th day
Kayaking route: Mikaszówka – Płaska (13 km)
The kayaking trip starts on the Augustow Canal and next are the lakes, picturesquely situated in the Augustow Primeval Forest. There are three more locks on the way, one of them – the Paniewo lock is a double one, with its water levels difference reaching 6,40 meters!

5th day
Kayaking route: Płaska – Przewięź (15 km)

As you go through on the right hand side you will see the mouth of the Cicha Rzeczka river that leads to Lake Serwy. Next there is the longest, straight canal part, so called the Czarnobrodzki Canal, hugged by ever green forests. There are two more locks on the way.

6th day
Kayaking route: Przewięź – Augustów (10 km)
The last part of the kayaking trip leads through majestic lakes, first is the Studzieniczna Lake with another lock on the way, the Przewięź lock, next is the White Lake. There is plenty of beaches with suitable places to swim along the Canal sides. The White and Necko lakes are very attractive for sailing as well as motorboat sports.
Remember to stay close to the lake sides, as while being on water it is the smaller boat that gives way to the bigger one. Additionally there is a side wave on the lakes so staying on the sides makes kayaking easier.
